If TODAY is THE day…
I write this with tears of joy streaming down my face. On Sunday at the NCMinistries, Inc. Life Support Women’s Conference, Prophetess Tanya Lofty said “Lisa Striggles you are already healed. “When she said that, I said to myself “I have two important doctor appointments next week, so I pray she is correct!”
I have been feeling really good lately and when people ask me “how are you doing?” I say, “Well if it wasn’t for this back brace, I would feel back to normal.” I have been trying to deal with the fact that three months ago the neurosurgeon said, “With the damage done to your spine, I am surprised you can still stand up straight and you will most likely be in that brace for the rest of your life.” I said to myself, “you don’t know, but I do!” PRAISE GOD!
Since that visit three months ago, I have been praying. Asking God to remove this brace. I complained to Him that it is so heavy, and I can’t wear my cute clothes. From the beginning of my illness, I have prayed “GOD, I WANT TO BE HEALED!”
Today, I had a visit with three neurosurgeons and my daughter asked if I could be approved to get an additional back brace, because I wanted to start going back to the swimming pool. They said, “Well you don’t need a brace in the water because of gravity, and looking at these x-rays from yesterday, she doesn’t need a brace at all anymore. The fractures have stabilized.” My daughter and I looked at each other in disbelief!!! The original neurosurgeon said, “I knew I should have tried to operate on you before. I can’t make money when people heal on their own. You don’t need to come back for a follow-up, but I’m here if you need me.” HEALED ON MY OWN!!! MY GOD! MY GOD! MY GOD!
On Sunday, at the Life Support Women's Conference, my talk was called “Raise the Roof” taken from Mark 2:3-5. Little did I know that before the end of the week I would be blessed with the remainder of the scripture.
Mark 2:6-10 - 6 Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, 7 “Why does this fellow talk like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?” 8 Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, “Why are you thinking these things? 9 Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’? 10 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man, 11 “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” 12 He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”
Three months ago, I was told I would never walk without the back brace, today JESUS said TO ME…take off that brace and go home! ALL PRAISE, HONOR AND GLORY TO GOD!

Heyyyyy, I went back today and read some of Lisa's old blogs. I'm still in shock. Been reading her blogs all day. I sent them to my nephew who has cancer to read and see how positive she has been throughout this process. He is positive too but something like this give you the incentive to keep pushing and keep the faith. Laverne, thank you so much for keeping me posted on her.
